Ian Howard is the face behind Scuderia 66 Developments (pictured below receiving a trophy from 2022 World ISRA F1 Champion – James Cleave).

Ian is an enthusiastic and committed slot car racer, and is currently placed 35 in the UK BSCRA Driver Rankings.

He has competed in the UK Pro Am championships, the BSCRA National Championships and was the British Open Clubman Champion in 2022.

As well as slot car racing, Ian has enjoyed a 15 year career as a rally co-driver competing at Clubman – National and International level.

It is Ian’s love of building models from scratch that spurred him on to create Scuderia 66 Developments.

“I just wanted to build my own race cars and use my own bodyshells . . . I just love the process of making a mould for vacuum forming . . . sometimes I actually enjoy it more than racing the cars themselves!”

When not racing slot cars Ian is a Contracts Manager for National Highways. He is happily married with a 21 year old daughter and lives in the West Midlands.
